Wind and Waves in Warrington!!

Warrington can hardly be described as "the windy city" but its reputation is growing as a centre of excellence for wind power since Vestas located its UK sales/ service operation in Birchwood.

Vestas Wind systems employs nearly 10,000 people around the globe with its parent company situated in Denmark.

More then 200 people are employed out of the Warrington base where the sales/ service arm of the business was set up 18 months ago.

Vestas - Celtic Wind Technology Ltd began manufacturing wind turbines three years ago in the north of Scotland at Machrihanish near Campbeltown, Argyll, but it was Warrington that Vestas chose to locate the sales/ service team.
